Re: Need some help with polyphonic setup
The i2M is better-suited to this than the G2M because it has lots of tweaking options on the MIDI control. To give polyphony, there are two options: ... I can't thank you enough for this post, James! I didn't realize the new firmware was out, and that it actually supported the sustain pedal! So I w...

Re: Need some help with polyphonic setup
So it is theoretically possible to turn an i2m or a g2m into a pseudo-polyphonic unit :) Both MSPC and MSEP cost ~111€ each, and a simple pedal wouldn't be too expensive either. The major problem is, of course, that the chords would have to be arpeggiated in a deliberately staccato manner, but it be...

Re: Need some help with polyphonic setup
Got a response from MIDI Solutions. It's not possible to program their pedal controller in such a way, but it may be possible chaining a pedal controller and an event processor (http://www.midisolutions.com/prodevp.htm) in series. So, basically, the system would look like this: - an i2m or a g2m con...

Re: Need some help with polyphonic setup
Do you already have a MIDI pedal? If so, what MIDI messages can it sent out? Can this be configured? I guess I could buy something like Line6 FBV Express USB or Line6 FBV Shortboard USB... I'll check out which messages it can send. [edit] Something like http://www.midisolutions.com/prodped.htm coul...

Need some help with polyphonic setup
Hi all, Let's say I have an i2m, a MIDI pedal and a synth (just "the system" henceforth). What I would like to achieve: - as soon as I place my foot on the pedal, the system goes into a "polyphonic" mode, wherein either the i2m doesn't produce the "note off" events, or ...

G2M V1 to V2
Hi, I own a G2M V1 and an I2M. I'm quite satisfied with the I2M, it's an amazing product, especially since the "breath curve" feature has been added to the latest firmware. The tracking is very stable, legato and volume changes are extremely smooth etc. However, I would like to listen to m...

Re: intonation
I am finding that the pitches synthesized are slightly sharp of the ones from my guitar. I have a tuner on my guitar and it is in tune. However, as I play I hear the pitches coming out of the speakers of my DAW consistently a bit out of tune with my guitar. I have tried it with two different softsy...
