Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Hi James, yes, I needed to update to the latest firmware, now velocity filter changes are being saved. Now to see if I can make any changes that remove the ghost notes. Thanks for your support so far, James!

Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Hi James, so, tried to change the velocity filter and can't seem to save the changes in the hardware, i.e. I make changes to the velocity filter and close the software, but when I open it again, the velocity filter is back to zero. Having the same problem with the output db dial, i.e. I make changes...

Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Hi James, thanks for the tips, I'll try them. I guess if I raise the velocity filter, then it will also reduce the sustain length of notes based on the natural decay of the vibraphone notes, I will have to experiment with it. On a side-note, the i2m works great with my Sequential pro one synth, allo...

Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Hi James, so, received the Sonuus, thank you. My thoughts are as follows: 1. In terms of sustain, in reality there is no need for the additional stuff previously mentioned, as notes seem to sustain through the whole life of the pressed vibraphone note, longer than I expected. 2. Getting some trackin...

Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Ok, so if I understand correctly, in practice...I play a note and sustain it using the vibraphone sustain pedal, then depress the other sustain pedal which sends midi signals, to keep the note on indefinitely, right? With reference to the other thread regarding sustain, if I buy a usb hub (powered, ...

Re: Standalone MIDI hold/sustain pedal for i2M

@twalker, did this system work out for you? If so, were there any issues? And which hub do you use with the system? Any info appreciated, thanks. Oli

Re: i2m with vibraphone?

Hi James, thanks for the input. Sounds like it is worth trying out, I'll put an order in, and see how it goes, especially with the technique and playing consderations you mentioned. Another quick question, in terms of midi sustain, there was a thread on the forum a while back where a guy wanted to s...

i2m with vibraphone?

Hi, I'm interested in using the i2m with my vibraphone, but wanted to ask some questions before taking the plunge. Firstly, I've tried using a Roland Gi10 and also the G2m ipad app to achieve my aim of generating midi signals, but both times I have found that tracking has been a problem, especially ...
