pitch to MIDI microphone

Post by BertAnt »

i don't know if this is good or not, but i just thought i'd share it here..

i'm thinking of a microphone with built in pitch to MIDI converter... that should come handy for a vocalist ;)

after googling i found some interesting links :

We did wonder about making a combined unit (mic + MIDI converter) but worried that there wasn't a big need for something so dedicated.

The i2M musicport works well with most dynamic mics (even very cheap ones). The pre-amp has adjustable gain so you can turn it up to get better results with a dynamic mic since it typically has a lower output than a guitar has.

The MIDI Microphone voice is really woofer and upgrade type music listen. You can change the instrument volume itself. And also make itself music from the use of software with the computer.

How do I access the microphone on my laptop to record something? My laptop is a compaq that came with windows vista and it has a built in microphone. I need to record myself for a project in school but I cannot find how to get to the microphone.
