Finally got the Sonuus G2M yesterday. I preordered it over a month ago and it was a full week in shipping. Anyway, here's the box:

And the complete contents of the box. Nice they included a battery. Quick start pictoral guide and a full user manual also included.

And here it is wired up.

For my youtube video I just ran the guitar into this, then into the midi sound module, and the midi module direct out to my amp. No other steps. Here's the sound module I was using (borrowed from a friend):

Tracking is manageable. Don't expect to shred using this thing, but you can play a melody with it with good confidence if your technique is clean.

I mis-spoke in my video, you need to use the Neck pickup, not the bridge pickup

Since doing this video I have found that running an EQ before the G2M where you completely trim all the highs and mids greatly improves tracking and latency without having to adjust the tone or volume knobs of your guitar. I will add a new video with this later, and hopefully with better playing!

And my real reason for getting it was to use it with bassoon:

(For more information about this you can see my blog at http://trentjacobs.wordpress.com)

Basically I now have an EWI-Bassoon. It works well enough that I'll keep it. I figure for the money there won't be anything better for a long time, and probably nothing like it that I can use with my main instrument anyway since it doesn't require a special guitar pickup.

I made another video that attempts to answer questions about latency and pitch tracking.

Wow - great video--a picture if worth a thousand words. Finally fixed my pitch problems!

If I had any doubts about purchasing this product, they’re all been laid to rest. Thanks for the illustrations and video review.
