Adapt a nine volt AC pack?

Post by MROgle »

I'm a Sonuus B2M user, and I was wondering if I could eliminate the use of a nine-volt battery by attaching a battery clip to a regular 9V AC adaptor (commonly known as a wall-wart, I've got a lot of those laying around).

Anything technically wrong with doing this? Or is the B2M designed JUST for 9V battery operation?

Thanks! I'm really enjoying my B2M.

I use it on my bass guitar rig, running it from the tuner "out" jack to the B2M to a Korg Orchestral MIDI module to a Strymon Blue Sky reverb (on the "shimmer" effect setting) to a separate acoustic guitar (full range) amp. I have my straight bass pumping from the big amp all the time, and a volume pedal to add as much (or little)of the orchestral effect as I want.

Set it on "slow attack" strings, put a little sweetening on there, and run to the separate amp, it sounds like there's a keyboard player in the mix. The slow attack kinda disguises the fact that the string sounds are tracking with the bass lines. Killer setup to fill out a three-piece band!
