optimize_tracking_??

one picture says thousands of words ;)
I play chapman stick an always have problems due to the massive overtones/sustain the instrument has.
so I thought, maybe let the sound get tracked by both G2M and B2M and merge it together then?..

I am a bit confused as to why you think merging both the G2M and B2M might improve things? Won't it potentially make things worse so that any ghost (glitch) notes that happen will still get through, and pitch-bend from both units will be combined to give unpredictable results? Though, maybe I've missed something.

The B2M has lots of internal filtering to cope with instruments with lots of overtones. The only problem you get with overtones is if the fundamental frequency is so small it is missed and a much larger harmonic is assumed to be the real note.

Sustain only causes a problem when switching between strings so you end up with multiple strings playing at the same time. This can't be fixed externally, and needs to be fixed on the instrument, for example with a single pickup per string, or some dampening on the strings to reduce the sustain.
