Are there any "input monitoring" options on the tracks? I'm wondering if the track is armed, but the input monitoring isn't enabled.
Can you record anything, even though you can't hear it?

There are these monitor buttons in cubase, but i've tried them, it doesn't make a difference.
What it all comes down to is : I can do nothing with the sound coming out of the I2m, except monitoring, when I use the slider in the driver panel of the i2m
No incoming signal in cubase, so no reading input meter, no recording with or withoutchanging the monitor slider.
No use trying the monitor buttons in cubase.

OK. I think you need to see if you can get any support from Steinberg, or other Cubase users.
The good thing is the i2M is clearly working, otherwise the input monitor wouldn't work, so it must be some strange thing in Cubase. Sorry I can't help any more on this -- I don't have Cubase.
