i2M to iPad huge latency

Post by alessiogavioli »

Hi! I tried my i2M musicport with 2 iPads, one with iOS9 and one with iOS10 and in both cases the pitch was not precise and most of all I got a few seconds latency. (I tried it on Garageband). Is there any driver I should download for the i2M? What is the problem?

Is there anything else running on the iPad?

It might be a good idea to reboot the iPad. We have seen strange audio problems from time-to-time that were solved by rebooting an iOS device.

The drivers for the i2M are built into iOS.

There's nothing running except Garageband, and tried to reboot the device. Nothing changes..

If you use the i2M just for audio (not MIDI) how bad is the latency? Is it only MIDI that is a problem, or both?

When using MIDI, have you checked these FAQs? Good playing technique can improve MIDI tracking, and also latency: http://www.sonuus.com/products_i2m_mp_faq.html
