Noise and midi tracking

Post by Traveller »

Hello,
How much does noise (electrical noise) effect the midi tracking? I am overseas and only have a noisy electric guitar (earthing?) and acoustic with pickup available to me.
The i2M seems to track audio fine, but when trying to track midi with the electric it is terrible with ghost notes everywhere or no notes.
The acoustic is better but I keep getting ghost notes. Better still if I hit softly.
Any information appreciated.
Regards.

Noise usually isn't a problem, unless there's a big tone (e.g., mains hum).

See the video at the end of this FAQ for useful tips on MIDI tracking: http://www.sonuus.com/products_i2m_mp_faq.html
