Doug-- this sounds really promising. I'm not having a lot of success right now, but I'd like to try your EQ/compression idea. Can you share a little more about how you have the EQ and compression set up?

This is an old thread, but a goodie. Instead of sax, I'm using my i2M with handheld harmonica mic into my iPad. I agree that the type of input signal is important - in my case so far, I'm getting better results with low impedance mics than high impedance, which appear to overdrive the signal. Reducing the harmonic content of the signal is a good idea, I'll try that.
