Midi notes not being generated

Hi,

I was using the Sonuus i2M with Sonar X1, no problems. I then wanted to test in my live situation and so connected the audio lead via my Line 6 wireless. Nothing. I went back to the direct Bass -> i2M and no joy.

Did I just blow the audio detection electronics?
Should I be able to use Bass -> Wireless Tx ... Wireless Rx -> i2M ?

Panic over. It is still working (Bass -> i2M). Will try again the Wirless as I would have thought that the line levels were OK

Hmm. And now it stops again. Still using it as DI from Bass -> i2M.
Leaving unplugged for a while and will try again. Maybe it is overheating? I restarted the computer and no joy.
The latency test shows that it is working OK as a MIDI port (sends the note just fine). But playing bass is not triggering anything again.
I gave up last night thinking that I had blown the device, but it worked again this morning. Maybe there is an intermittent fault?

There should be no problems using a wireless input to drive the i2M.

When it goes wrong, can you also check the audio output of the i2M. If everything is working correctly, you should be able to record some audio directly from the i2M via USB.

Could it be a MIDI configuration/mode issue? Are you using a MIDI configuration with no zones enabled? That would give no MIDI output. Maybe you are pressing the small button and changing modes by mistake?

Another thing you can try is to restore the i2M's settings to factory defaults. This can be done in the Editor on the Setup page. If you have a setup you want to keep, save this as an "ALL" file before doing the settings restore, then you can always get it back again.

Hi James. I have reset the factory settings, checked zones, etc a number of times. I also updated the desktop software and firmware today too. Again now joy for a while. Then it worked first tie when I switched it al lback on.

Strange. I get sound when I start, and then nothing. Not sure what triggers it to stop working. I leave for a while (PC off etc) and come back later in the day, and it works again but just for a while.

I am not using the Audio interface, just the Midi.

The latency check always drives the synths fine.
