Editing with computer

Post by Flop54 »

Hello. is it possible to edit the wahoo and the voluum on a computer with midi plug like strymon.
Like this : "To connect your Strymon pedal to the Nixie software, you need a MIDI interface to connect from the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT ports of your pedal to your computer, typically through USB."
Because if i want edit the wahoo with a computer i loose the midi connection with anothers effect and it's not easy to use.

I have a kenton midi usb host

Sorry for my bad english I'm french.

No, you can't edit using MIDI. We use USB (HID) for editing because it's faster and more reliable than MIDI. It would take a significant effort to make it work using MIDI! As an aside, years ago we designed lots of products that used MIDI for editing (before we started Sonuus) and although it can be made to work well, it's nowhere near as good as using our new HID-based system.

On the Wahoo to use MIDI and USB at the same time you'd need to us a software MIDI router (I think MIDI-OX can do this) to send the USB-MIDI from the Wahoo out of another MIDI port on your computer.
