Unfortunately my Voluum doesn't seem to be responding to any MIDI Program Change or CC messages coming from my Morningstar MC6.
Other pedals like the Strymon Big Sky are working perfectly with the MC6, and I don't have another device to test out but the Voluum used to respond to my DMC-3 before I sold it.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
Tried Omni and specific MIDI channels and there's just no response.
MIDI Problems with Morningstar
Re: MIDI Problems with Morningstar
I don't know why it isn't working, but here's a few thoughts...
Bank select switches bank: 00 = factory presets; 01 = user presets.
Program number shown on the Voluum corresponds to the MIDI program number (F00 = 00, F01 = 01, etc). But if the MIDI numbers are numbered from 1, not 0, these will be offset by one: F00 = 01, F01 = 02, etc.
Are you using a setlist? A setlist gives you more control over the program numbers so that the MIDI program number doesn't need to match your preset number. Indeed, you can configure a setlist so MIDI program change has no effect.... so if using a setlist, check the "prog" setting for each "slot" to know what you should be sending for program change.
