Driving two FX chains

Post by tfeb »

I'd like to use my Voluum to drive two FX chains.

I use the Voluum in buffered bypass (in fact I have the bypass-effect thing so when it's bypassed it works like a volume pedal).

One chain will be Voluum -> EHX Tube Zipper, and if bypassed -> Line6 DL4 -> other things, the other will be Voluum -> Klon KTR with buffered bypass -> other things.

I'd like just to use a splitter cable (ie not some extra buffering box which is yet more money and yet another box) to do this if I can, and my guess is that this is fine as it has a low-enough impedence and plenty of grunt, but I though I'd ask whether anyone else has done something like this and whether it makes sense.

Yes, a splitter cable will work fine. Because you are using the Voluum as a buffer you don't need another one.

It would be good to hear from anyone using this setup already.
