Loopa turns on but does not work

Bought this Loopa in Nov 2018 as a gift for my son. Was working well up until a month or so ago. Now the record and play back buttons don’t work. The ring does not light up either green or red and it does not work at all. Would appreciate some help as my son very much enjoyed using this microphone. Thanks.
