Any prefered frequencies?

Post by monkeyfunk777 »

Are there certain frequencies the G2M "likes" more than others? For instance, would using a compressor and/or a graphic EQ help it track better?
Or even something as radical as an 8-bit crusher? Thanks for your time : )

It's best to keep the signal as pure as possible. The most important thing is for the G2M to see a strong fundamental tone at the start of the note.

For example, if you pluck a string very close to the bridge, there is often no obvious fundamental tone for quite some time after you pluck the note - sometimes this can fool the G2M into thinking you have played a note an octave higher. Here the solution is simply to pluck closer to the neck which gives a stronger fundamental tone.
