Which model is more suitable?

Post by Rossf »

Hello, your product looks amazing. I want to get one to trigger simple audio notes from an iPad 16 by 16 step sequencer. This way I can hopefully use the touch interface sequencer to trigger some of my old monophonic analogue synths via a Kenton midi cv converter. The question is; does one of the models (G2M or B2M) have a quicker latency and or tracking than the other? It doesn't really matter if I have to work with lower midi notes cos I can always transpose the synth up to a higher octave if need be. Is there a difference between the two?
Thanks rossf

Only the B2M can process the lowest notes, and only the G2M the highest notes. In the overlap region in the middle the B2M is a bit quicker (though both are still fast). So, if you can limit yourself to this middle region, I would suggest you get the B2M.

For lowest latency, it's best to avoid the low notes because there is a fundamental physics limitation to how quickly these can be measured and you can't avoid the extra latency this adds.
