No, it can't be upgraded. The V2 is a redesign with new hardware, so an update is not possible.I have a G2M. Can the firmware be updated to the G2M vers. 2?
Yes, it will be better. Not only are the algorithms updated, but the filtering has been improved to remove higher harmonics that can cause problems with instruments with many overtones (such as wind/brass).Does the G2M vers. 2 work better with a wind instrument (trumpet) than the G2M?
Almost. In "guitar" mode, the G2MV2 and the i2M are the same, but we also have a "wind" mode in the i2M which has some subtle optimisations to improve performance for wind instruments. It also lets you track the sound envelope which can be used to control aspects of the MIDI sound for better realism.Does the G2M vers. 2 work as well as the i2M with a wind instrument (trumpet)?
