midi interface USB

Post by guitar9 »

Hello, can you connect the G2M to the E-MU Xmidi 2x2 & then to USB on PC?
My soundcard has no midi connection sockets/cable. I am running Cubase midi.
Thank you for your advice,

Yes, this will work. Any USB-to-MIDI converter should work just fine with the G2M.

Hello James, since your reply I found my line 6 pod 2.0 midi link 16 channels midi I/O that has a usb cable one end & 2 midi connections on the other cable. When I connect this to my pc & G2M nothing works no signal in Cubase & no sound from speakers. Can you advise why this wont work? It would save me if I could use this midilink.

As far as I know the MIDI ports on the Pod are only so you can edit the channel memories, or automate the settings. I don't think it works as generic MIDI interface. So, unfortunately, I don't think the Pod can be used in this way with the G2M.
