B2M octave below actual instrument pitch

Post by steve »

Hi! Just got my B2M. Works great except plays midi notes one octave below actual bass guitar. Am running Logic 5. Is there a setting in Logic that I can use to correct? Is it possible to midi into a synth to use octave "up" key to correct or does the signal just pass thru. Any help would be appreciated. Steve P.S. Don't want to play an octave up on the fretboard.

What patches are you playing? Most bass patches are actually programmed to play an octave low to make them easier to play on a keyboard.

Hi James! Thanks for the reply. Yes, the culprit was a patch in Wavestation. Some are good, some don't play nice. All my other plug ins work fine. Ya saved me some pain.
