Hello,
I'm using G2M with M-Audio MIDISPORT 1x1 MIDI-USB interface and Steinberg Sequel 2. It works well most of the time, but periodically Sequel suddenly starts showing 100% CPU utilization and becomes unresponsive for 5 - 15 seconds. This means that recording with G2M is almost impossible. I have no problems recording the same MIDI patches in Sequel with my MIDI keyboard (CME M-Keys). Do you have any idea what might be wrong, or what I might want to try to fix the problem?
Thank you,
Palo
PS: Had it not been my problems with the CPU utilization, I'd definitely love the G2M; It's so much fun playing the guitar and hearing piano, organ, voice, sax, flute... also don't forget to try a drumset
High CPU utilization and lockups
Re: High CPU utilization and lockups
Hi Palo,
We haven't tried Sequel 2. This does sound like a strange problem! The G2M can output a lot of pitch bend information - maybe this somehow upsets the software (although it shouldn't). Have you tried maybe changing the audio buffering size in the software?
We have a MIDISPORT 1x1 here and it works fine with Sonar.
