Hey there.
I just updated my i2m to firmware v1.3.02, and the editor to v1.3.03 (OS X v10.8.4). The device is powered, shows up on the USB bus, and is available as a MIDI device in Logic/MainStage. But, the editor doesn't seem to know that it's there. Has anyone else seen (and worked around) this problem?
Thanks!
OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
I've not heard of this problem before.
Did it work ok before the update?

Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
Using firmware 1.3.02 and a really old version of the editor, the device was available. The problem seems to be with the latest editor. Unfortunately, the new version overwrote the old version, so I can't downgrade. Are older versions of the desktop editor available somewhere --I'm happy to try an older version to help sort this out...
Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
OK. I don't have the old versions of the editor available just now, but I'll make these available for you to try. Hopefully have this for you in a day or so.

Thanks, James!
Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
Please try these older versions to see what happens. You can have multiple versions of the editor installed in the same location, simply by renaming the app once you extract it from the zip file.
http://www.sonuus.com/downloads/softwar ... -1-3-0.zip
http://www.sonuus.com/downloads/softwar ... -1-3-2.zip
1.3.0 is an older version, and this is the most likely one to work.
1.3.1 introduced new USB communication code for OSX that allowed multiple i2Ms to be connected to the editor and selected via the "device" menu at the bottom.
1.3.2 fixed a cras in 1.3.1 (so I haven't provided the 1.3.1 version).
The current version, 1.3.3, fixed another bug (but not a crash) in 1.3.2.
So, essentially, 1.3.0 uses the old USB code, and 1.3.2 (and the current version) use the new code. If you find that 1.3.0 works but 1.3.2 doesn't, maybe I can send you a version with some debug output to try and work out what's happening.

Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
Thanks, James -- I've downloaded these, and will let you know what I find. Thanks!
Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
As predicted, 1.3.0 works, but 1.3.2 does not. If you have a debug build that you'd like me to run for characterization, let me know.
Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
I've created a special version that logs various information to a text file:
http://www.sonuus.com/downloads/softwar ... -debug.zip
This is the same as version 1.3.3, except for the file logging. The file should appear in your users' directory: Users/your name/Library/Application Support/i2M-editor-debug.txt.
Run the editor, then connect the i2M, after a short time, disconnect the i2M, wait a little while, then close the app -- the file should then be written. See what this shows.

Re: OS X v10.8 Editor doesn't find device
That version worked, and generated the following log:
[HodgesMBPro:/Users/mhodges/Library/Application Support]
$ cat i2M-editor-debug.txt
Creating HID Manager
Running HID Manager
Device attached
Processing attached device
Device added to device list
A new device has been found.
So, I went back and re-installed v1.3.3, and it works correctly, too.
Beats me...
