Just got the B2M through the post and whilst it does work it has some major tracking issues. It either gets the note a semi-tone out in both chromatic and regular mode. It also often gives me the note and octave lower than it should in both chromatic and regular modes. It does sometimes work correctly but it's totally inconsistent. Anyone had similar problems?

It all comes down to playing technique. Please see this video. It describes playing guitar, but the problems are the same for bass -- in fact you need to be even more careful with bass.

Making sure your strings are tuning correctly, and the intonation of the instrument is set correctly helps to avoid being a semitone out.
