My Wahoo used to be powered by an USB Hub. This worked fine for some months, but now it needs so much power that no other devices can be powered from the same hub. I changed the hub, but the problem remains. Very strange, is there an explanation for this?

The Wahoo takes more than 100mA, and that requires a powered hub to ensure it can supply enough current (up to 500mA) for a bus-powered device.
Perhaps the power supply for the hub has a problem? Or if it was unpowered, you were getting away with it for a while but the upstream USB port (your computer) is no longer able to supply enough current?
