Wahoo Foot pedal fx on/off.

Post by rj1984 »

Hello, I have just received the wahoo today.

I am trying to edit in the custom settings to allow the effect to be switched on via the foot pedal at toe down position as opposed to the foot switch. The manual says this can be done. However, I have set the sub parameter to 'on' in the P.En menu and still the unit can only be switched in and out of bypass via the footswitch. What should I do?

It should be working as you describe.

Try to calibrate the pedal (see user manual page 29) to make sure the full travel of the pedal is known. Also note the numbers you get in the heel-down and toe-down positions and let me know what it shows.

Hi James! Yeah its working o.k now. I calibrated the foot pedal and the unit turns on via the foot pedal now. The Filter also sounds better. If it helps for future reference for any similar problems for other owners the numbers were - Heel down 408 - Toe down 493. Thank you.

Good it's working.

The bad news is those numbers don't look correct. I think there may be a problem with the connector that goes to the pedal sensor. The number suggest the connection is loose.

I'm sent you a PM to get your details so we can discuss this further.

So good that it's working

If not, try to calibrate the pedal, and note down the number in heel-down also.

Good luck
