Unit can't be switched off when battery powered

Post by Salami »

I just bought a Wahoo. I want to run it on batteries, but it won't switch off when I load it with them. According to the manual, it should be switched off when the input jack is disconnected. Well, it is, but the thing stays switched on.

We've not heard of that before. I assume the connection to the jack socket the senses the jack plug being inserted and removed has broken. Either that or the jack socket itself isn't "closing" when the jack plug is removed. This "close" is used to detect when the jack is removed and turns off the power.

Have you tried repeatedly inserting and removing the jack plug in case there is something on it preventing it closing?

I'll send you a PM so you can give me details of where you bought the Wahoo.
