Something is rattling in my new wahoo - am I allowed to open the wahoo and search for the loose part, or do I loose warranty when I do that?
The wahoo works normally, I think nothing is out of order.

Re: loose screw or something rattling im my wahoo
How rattly is it?
There are spacer washers behind the knobs. Sometimes theses can move and rattle. It is normal. Could this be what you are hearing?

Re: loose screw or something rattling im my wahoo
No, something loose is moving in the unit when I shake it. Maybe rattling was the wrong word. It sounds like a very small screw or something that hits the interior walls or other parts in the wahoo.
Re: loose screw or something rattling im my wahoo
It's ok to open it up to investigate. I'm very interested to find out what it is. It won't affect your warranty.
If there's something metal moving around in there, certainly better to get it out before it causes problems (short circuits, for example).

I found a screw which looks similiar to the ones that hold the base plate, but it is shorter, 6mm instead of 7,5 mm.
Re: loose screw or something rattling im my wahoo
Similar screws are used to hold the PCBs in place. Are there any screws missing from the PCBs? You can see all the screws that should be there when you open the back (i.e., none are hidden).
Good you found it. We will feed this back to the factory to let them know.

No, there aren't any screws missing. Maybe someone lost a screw while mounting the wahoo and didn't notice.

Yes, very likely.
