OSX 10.10 12M software does not activate

I just updated firmware to 1.4.
i2M shows up in SYS PREFS / SOUND and also in Logic..

It works on my old macbook Pro OS X 10.6.8.

Haven't tried it for a year or so, but It did work on new mac ...
Macbook Pro 2013. OSX 10.10.3

Musicport software "greyed out" and inactive.
I downloaded the musicport software again.
I think its 1.3.3 from 6 Sep 2012.

Any ideas??

We haven't seen this before. Testing here, the 1.40 firmware update works fine in OSX10.10.3.

If looks like the "HID" communications for the i2M is not working. Because the other functions are working, this points to a problem in OSX. HID protocols are used for the editor.

Can you downgrade to the previous firmware version and see if it works then? When you do a firmware upgrade, the i2M appears as a new device, but also uses HID. See if it works.

OK. It sounds like something has gone wrong with the driver in OSX.

I'm not sure how to do it this in OSX, but can you "remove" the driver for the i2M? Then when you reconnect the i2M it should reinstall the driver and hopefully it will work.
