I am on the verge of buying a Voluum. Before I go ahead I just wanted to check that it doesn't suffer from the same tone suck a lot of other volume pedals have when backing off the volume.

The primary reason for buying the pedal will be to use it in a similar way to using the guitar volume pot to clean up my overdriven valve amps. It is therefore very important that the pedal retains all the high frequencies.

There is no tone suck. That was one of the main design aims of the Voluum.

The Voluum has a wide bandwidth: 16.7Hz to > 22.3kHz for all gains (that includes up to maximum +40dB of boost).

When reducing the level (cutting), the upper frequencies are even higher than this (e.g., up to 35kHz at 40dB of cut).

Great I thought that would be the case but just wanted to be sure before placing an order. Very excited to get my Voluum now, looks like an amazing product, I'm amazed it doesn't get more exposure.
