Hi,
Is it possible to use external midi controller sending out MIDI signal to G2M for hold function? If, then how will be cable setup because G2M does have MIDI In port. Y-MIDI cable?

Yes, you can send MIDI hold controller to the G2M (on the new G2M V3).

The MIDI-Out also has a MIDI-In on spare pins. You need this cable to split it into a MIDI-In and MIDI-Out connector: http://shop.sonuus.com/product_info.php?products_id=56

As manual says I should set my MIDI controller to send #4 for hold function?

Yes. #4 is the standard controller used for hold, so the G2M is set to use this for hold.
