No MIDI notes or data playing or recording in Logic Pro X.

Hi. I'm having trouble getting started with my i2M using my Logic Pro X Software. I have set up a software instrument, and my MIDI input is checked of as the i2M Musicport, but my software isn't registering anything when I play and when I try to record, even when the track is armed to record. I just updated my firmware to the latest version, and am wondering if there is a compatibility issue or if my settings aren't right or something. I can see the red lid flash to indicate clipping on the i2M when my guitar is played loudly, and have tried with a microphone too. Please help. Thanks
