Hello,
i can`t find any Information regarding the use of a powersupply over the midiport instead of using an 9V Batterie.

Is the timer still active, if i use this way of powering the unit?

Is there any modification possible to prevent the sleeping mode without transmitting an audiosgnal.

You can't power the B2M via the MIDI port. As specified in the MIDI standard, a MIDI-out port provides a 5V power supply to the MIDI receiver (MIDI In). The receiver uses this power to drive it's receiving circuitry. Only a small small amount of current can be supplied, but there are some devices which can be powered with this, such as MIDI mergers.

Since the B2M only has a MIDI out, it supplies power, it cannot be powered from MIDI (it has no MIDI-in).

There is no modification that can be done to prevent sleeping when it receives no input signal.
