Sonuus i2m midi channel per string?

Hi

on guitar ...is it possable to set up the i2m to have a midi channel per string,

exmple,

low 'E' midi drums
'A' midi bass
'D' midi Piano
'G' midi synth
'B' midi Violin
top 'E' midi trumpet

This is almost possible. The problem is that the i2M does not (and cannot) know which strings are being played, only which notes. Because the same note can appear on different strings you can never know exactly which string was played!

What you can do, is setup different note ranges on each zone, so particular notes can be sent to different MIDI channels to control different instruments. If you limit this to only a few notes, then you can effectively have a MIDI channel per string:

(zone 1) E2 - B2 (Hi E string)
(zone 2) A2 - C#3 (A string)
(zone 3) D3 - F#3 (D string)
(zone 4) G3 - Bb3 (G string)
(zone 5) B3 - Eb4 (B string)
(zone 6) E4 - ... (Hi E string)
