Firmware Update will not load Windows 7 64 bit

I have downloaded and installed the new firmware updater and its upgraded firmware file. When I load the firmware update, I get a prompt to connect the device. The problem is the device is connected. I investigated through the device manager (Windows 7 64 bit) and my DAW software and both recognize the existence of the i2m.

At any rate, I am unable to get the firmware updater to illuminate the update button to allow the process to continue.

Any thoughts on how this can be corrected / accomplished to process the update?

In update mode, the Sonuus logo on the i2M will flash red - is this happening? In order to get into this mode you need to press and hold down the button on the i2M as you connect it to the USB.
