The green light has stopped working in modes 1 and 2. The orange in 3 and 4 is fine. The device itself is working fine in all modes.
I noticed in another thread that the latest update has a power saving mode - could I have inadvertantly switched this on and if so how?

In the "setup" page of the i2M editor, under "settings" you'll see the "power save" option. Clicking the option will toggle it on and off.
If the other LEDs are working, but the green one isn't, it sounds like something has become disconnected in the unit. In which case, you can get it replaced under warranty via the retailer where you purchased it.
