6 String Guitar Tuned ½ Step Down or Drop D

Post by recipiente »

Hello,

Amazing products, can't wait to get one, but just wondering, do I expect to have trouble if I use ½ step tuning ( Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb ) on my guitar? and with some songs I also need to drop the sixth string one step lower ( Db ).

Thank you

Using different tunings is not a problem, and your tuning is not low enough to cause any problems.

The important thing is that the notes are tuned accurately, regardless of what notes they are, because the G2M/B2M/i2M will simply convert whatever pitch it detects into MIDI. If the note you play is slightly out of tune, so will be the MIDI data. In some cases this can result in MIDI notes being wrong by one semitone when the note is tuned slightly flat or sharp.
