Garageband does not recognize i2M musicport

I am working on OSX. I would have thought that Garageband would recognize the i2M musicport plug & play but I do not see it among the available inputs (only built-in mic available). (My understanding is that in OSX you do not have to install a driver). Any one knows what could be the problem? Many thanks.

Hi,

You shouldn't need any driver for the i2M in OSX. We use the i2M with GarageBand all the time. If you run the Audio Midi Setup utility, does it appear there? Is the LED on the i2M green (or orange) when it is connected?
