Can't get a good result

Post by tdk »

I'm trying and trying but can't find the right setting for voice mode. Even being a monophonic "instrument", the sound of voice is translated by sonnus into multiple midi notes (quite short ones) very frequently. Or also some sounds are even caught. What can I do to get a more precise result? Someone could give me any tips or a right setting to try in this specific mode?

Any short sounds will be converted into MIDI notes by the i2M if they contain some pitch information. The only way to avoid that is to add more latency to the conversion, but everyone wants fast conversion...

What sort of things are you singing? You will get best results if you sing only well-pitched parts, such as vowel sounds ("ahhh", "oohh", etc), . When you sing "plosive" sounds, such as "b" and "p", the sound does not have a well-defined pitch, so the i2M works hard to find what to convert and you end up with lots of short notes that you didn't intent.
