make a .mid track
Re: make a .mid track
If I understand correctly, you want to save a midi file using the i2M. Set up a new track as a "software/midi instrument" in your sequencer program, and use your bass and i2M to record into this sequencer program track. This should record the midi data being generated by the i2M, which can be saved as a midi file from the sequencer program. The midi file can then be exported and imported into any midi software program. If you have more questions, please tell us what kind of computer (windows/mac) and what midi sequencer software you have. Thanks
Re: make a .mid track
As Paul says, you just have to configure your software to use the i2M musicport as an input MIDI device then record from it the same as if you had a MIDI keyboard.
The i2M musicport doesn't come with any software to let you create .mid files, instead it appears as a standard MIDI device that will work with any MIDI-enabled software. Once you do that, your software will usually let you export the file in .mid format for use elsewhere.
What software do you use for music?

Yes, FLStudio and Cubase will work.
You just select a MIDI track to use the i2M as the input then when you record, all the MIDI data will be recorded to that track.
