good microphone

Post by jayantee »

What microphone will be able to reach a few meters away, preferably more? I am wanting a microphone for Dragon naturally speaking software, I am going to University and want to be able to record the lecture my teacher gives. I read that it comes with a crappy microphone, so yeah, and I would prefer the microphone to be small. Thanks.

Do a search for "capacitor usb mic". These will connect directly to your computer and get good recording results.

There are lots available, so check the specs for something that has some directional pattern to help reject off-axis sounds.

Similar mics (with jack connections, not USB) give good results for pitch-to-MIDI when using Sonuus products with acoustic instruments.
