Extra mode wanted

Post by PaulK »

Hi again
If providing more modes is not in the cards for the near future, would it be relatively simple to create a "zoneless mode" ie with no midi output (as if it were a mode with no zones enabled), easily accessed by a program change message? I dont have enough room to have an empty mode, and sometimes I want just audio and no midi.
Thanks

You can do this already. Just set a MIDI config so all zones are not enabled. Then assign that config to the mode you want. That mode will then be "no MIDI" as you require.

I dont have enough room to do this. I am using all 4 modes (midi configs) already triggering various notes, and in a free form improv section I want only flute. I don't have time to load new midi configs into modes on the fly during performance.

Right, I understand.

We'll have to think what the best way to achieve that would be.
