Trouble installing the desktop editor software

Post by benevan »

Perhaps I am missing something but I am having some trouble installing the editor software.

First of all, I had some trouble starting the installer. I had to right click on the icon in the windows folder, go to the compatibility tap and select the "run compatibility troubleshooter" just to get it to open. After a few selections, I select to install but then get get an error: "The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.

Operating system is Windows 8.

I don't know what it's not working. Perhaps the installer file is corrupt? Maybe try to download it again and see if that fixes it.

No luck.

I deleted from the download folder and now when I try to download again, it doesn't show up in the folder at all! I do a search and it is nowhere to be found. Done this several times now with the same result.

I can't say I have ever had this happen with any other program.

Is the program available by other method? Can you send it by email? Downloading apparently is not working for me.

Help.

Yes, I can email it to you. That's not a problem.

I've sent you a PM to confirm the address to send it to.
