Preset Bypass does not work with gate and compressor

Hi, just started to use the voluum, awesome pedal!!

I have one concern with the preset bypass mode. It works fine with only the volume module activated in the bypass preset. But as soon as a gate or compressor ist switched to the chain, the instrument gets muted or very quiet when activating the bypass. I didn't investigate further as i don't know if this is the way it should be.

Hi Axel,

Glad to hear you like the Voluum

The bypass preset simply lets you switch between two presets. The idea came from a user suggestion to make it easy to keep a volume pedal in the chain when not using the Voluum for something else.

Are you using factory presets? Which preset have you selected for the bypass preset, and which preset when "on"? I can try to reproduce it and see if it's working as it should be.

thank you for the quick response! I´ve read through the threads concerning the preset bypass, and i think it should be easy enough to set it up, but...

It doesn´t depend on the selected bank (user or factory). If a gate or compressor is active in the chain, the signal is muted or dropped. If only the volume pedal is active, it works.

Please try this firmware update, it should fix the problem you found with bypass preset mode.

The problem was in "bypass" mode some audio processing was not being done. For bypass-preset mode, this processing was required for certain effects (i.e., compressor). Other effects that didn't need it (i.e., volume) would work correctly.
