Would it be possible to have the i2m send the first pitch-bend message immediately before the note-on just like the pitch-bend zeroing messages are sent immediately after the note-offs?
I'm doing some microtonal stuff and giving the pitch-bend before the note-on gives specialist synths the opportunity to hit the (non-equal-temperament) pitch precisely on the note's attack and incorporate a slew during it's sustain. Without this, the synth will hit a 12-equal note and then bend to the correct pitch, making everything go wobbly.
Cheers,
James

Re: Feature request - MIDI message order
I'm sure we could add this, but there would be a side effect.
The pitch-bend takes a little longer to measure than the note-on because it needs to be a more precise measurement, so to send the pitch-bend first would cause the note-on to be delayed slightly. Is that a problem?
