Pitch-bend tracking of low notes is 2x faster.

New versions of firmware have been released today for the Wahoo and Voluum effects pedals. The Desktop Editors for both products have also been updated.
Version 1.2.00 of the Wahoo includes some bug fixes and improvements, and some significant new features including pedal control in envelope mode.
Version 1.1.00 of the Voluum includes a new feature suggested by one of the first Voluum customers. This is "preset bypass" mode which allows you to select a preset to be active when the effect is off. This lets you use the Voluum as a volume pedal, for example, when off, then any other effect as normal when it's on. It's a great idea and it can be very useful.

Firmware Updater 1.1.00
A new update has been released for the Sonuus Firmware Updater. It is now
available from the software pages.

We are pleased to announce two new Sonuus endorsees:
[3 July 2013] i2M musicport firmware update 1.3.02
The i2M musicport firmware has been updated to fix a bug and further improve performance:
-
Possible fix for MIDI lock-up that has been observed occasionally on OSX.

Improved dynamic range for MIDI note detection: notes can now sustain for even longer and there is better performance for lower level signals.
-
The noise floor for USB audio has been improved.
The firmware can be downloaded from our software pages.

NuMuBu is the music industry's social and business network. Think of it as Facebook dedicated to music and musicians.
[4 February 2013] Wahoo
firmware update 1.1.02.
The Wahoo firmware has been updated to fix two bugs:
-
Pedal MIDI-control modes were not saved in presets. So if you use these, they revert to pedal control when the preset is recalled.
-
Disabled "USB Suspend" because this can cause problems with partially disconnected USB cables: the Wahoo can appear to "die" or the pedal can become non-functional.
The Wahoo Desktop Editor (OSX version) has also been updated to fix a bug where it wasn't possible to edit the name of the preset when saving this from the editor. The editor and the firmware can be downloaded from our software pages.
[17 January 2013] Sonuus G2M iOS
app released
It is with great excitement that we announce that our
market-leading Guitar-to-MIDI technology is now
available as an App for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch®.
The Sonuus G2M has acclaimed pitch detection and MIDI
tracking and we've now put this technology into a very
elegant App. The App features include:
-
low CPU usage, so you can run it in the background beside a synth.
-
the low latency that you would expect from Sonuus hardware products, now as an App.
-
pitch-bend tracking with better accuracy than most guitar tuners, yes, really!
-
velocity tracking: preserve the nuances of what you play.
-
supports Core MIDI: route to other Apps, or externally via via supported 3rd party interfaces.
-
wireless MIDI via Wi-Fi.
-
ultra-responsive, very accurate chromatic tuner, with innovative display.
-
sleek and modern UI.
The accuracy, low-latency, low CPU-usage and the inclusion of a Sonuus Chromatic Tuner make this MIDI conversion App an exciting new tool for guitarists. The retail price of the G2M App is $9.99 (£6.99) (one tenth the price of the hardware G2M) but is currently available at a special launch price of $1.99 (£1.49) until the end of January 2013.
More information can be found on the G2M app product page.

new features.

The Wahoo Desktop Editor has also been updated to support these new features. The editor and the firmware can be downloaded from our software pages.

built-in microphone of the iOS device.
[1 November 2012] Wahoo reviewed
at SonicState.com (Amped)
This review features an in-depth video
showing the Wahoo from a bass-players perspective.
Best listened to with good headphones so you can hear
all that lovely low end.
An excellent sounding
and incredibly well designed pedal that offers a
unparalleled amount of adjust-ability that is more in
line with analogue synthesisers than traditional
guitarists stomp boxes. Don't let that put
you off though as it is very easy to use and the clear
layout means that even when the pedal is on the floor,
you can see exactly what is going on. The
software editor is the icing on the cake in this
department as it is extremely well thought out and
allows for an excellent editing experience. A
highly recommended unit that should give the user many
years of wah and filter action of the highest
calibre!
[20 October 2012] Wahoo
reviewed in Guitar Interactive Magazine
Guitar Interactive Magazine have just reviewed the Wahoo. At the end of the review there is an in-depth 18 minute video showing you just what the Wahoo can do!
"If you can imagine a
filter sound it
can almost certainly be achieved with the Wahoo!"
"The really great thing about the
Wahoo is how inspirational the sounds can be - I can fully imagine using some
of these sounds to write entire riffs or songs and after all, what
else do we use effects pedals for if not to inspire us
to be more creative? In this respect the Wahoo is highly successful and I very much recommend that you
check one out!"

September 2012]Alberto Rigoni's Three Wise Monkeys
Sonuus endorsee Alberto Rigoni has unveiled his new album: "Three Wise Monkeys".
Half instrumental and half with vocals, Rigoni's new album is thematically centered around the Japanese folk legend of the three wise monkeys (together they embody the proverbial principle to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil") and further refines the stylistic contrasts and progressive spirit characterizing 2011’s “Rebirth” (Nightmare Records)."Three Wise Monkeys" also boasts contributions from special guests such as keyboard player Kevin Moore (ex Dream Theater, OSI, Chroma Key), singer Göran Edman (ex Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum, Brazen Abbot), drummer Mark Cross (Outloud, ex Helloween, Firewind), Mistheria, Jonas Erixon, Simone Mularoni, Federico Solazzo, Tommy Ermolli and many others.
"Three Wise Monkeys" will be released on October 1, 2012 by Any and All Records with worldwide distribution (Nightmare Records, Disk Union, PowerProg, MediaStar etc.)

In the next few weeks we will have a small number of units available for the first pre-order customers. In a month or so after that, we should have a much larger quantity to fulfill all outstanding pre-orders.

To pre-order, complete
the pre-order form.
[24 July 2012] i2M
musicport software update (1.3.01)
We are pleased to announce that a new firmware update
(version 1.3.01) is available for the i2M musicport.
It includes new features requested by i2M musicport
users, and a minor bug fix.-
Fix a bug when “reset to factory settings” is used: the i2M would need to be restarted before new settings would be stored correctly.
-
Add zone sustain feature (SUS): zones can be configured to respond to a sustain pedal. The sustain pedal can be configured (globally) to be any MIDI controller.
-
Add support for Desktop Editor to indicate when MIDI is sent or received by the i2M musicport.
-
Now supports multiple i2M musicports connected to your computer (you can now select which of the connected devices should be active).
-
New indicators to show when the i2M is sending or receiving MIDI (useful for debugging MIDI routing to your software), and to show when the input is clipping (in case you can't see the light on the i2M itself).
-
Supports the new features in firmware version 1.3.01.
The i2M musicport Desktop Editor has also been updated to version 1.3.01:
All of the above can be downloaded from our software pages.
[28 May 2012] Sonuus selling
Buznut string dampeners
Sonuus are now selling Buznut string dampeners direct in the UK. We can also ship to other European countries.
Buznuts prevent open strings from being played and
this can greatly improve MIDI tracking with Sonuus
MIDI converter products where you playing technique
doesn't naturally let you do this. It's also great
for regular guitar solos to clean up unwanted notes.
You can get these direct from our eBay Store for £8.95 + P&P.
Check out these videos for more
information on what the Buznut does.
[28 May 2012] Sonuus
endorses Or Lubianiker
Sonuus are pround to announce the endorsement of Or Lubianiker,
an amazing bass player from Israel who is known for
his "outside the box" way of thinking and for making

Or did a cool video about the i2M musicport.
[28 May 2012] Sonuus
endorses Michael Bernier
Sonuus are pround to announce the endorsement of Michael Bernier, a NY Multi-instrumentalist who began playing drums at the tender age of 14 in his hometown of Huntington, Long Island, before eventually adding in guitar, Chapman Stick, bass, cello and tablas. Most recently, Michael toured Europe, South America, Japan and the United States with STICK MEN, a project with King Crimson alums Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto.
Here's what Michael says about the i2M musicport:
"The Sonuus i2M musicport has changed the way I approach performance and writing entirely. Now I can play any midi vst instrument live with my Chapman Stick without having to move over to a midi keyboard or midi trigger pad. I cannot recommend this product enough. If you are a solo performer looking for more texture and versatility or a bandmember who is looking to express yourself with new sounds that aren't inherent with your bass/guitar/stick...the i2M offers this and more. An absolute "must have" addition to my arsenal"
[25 May 2012] i2M
musicport firmware/editor update (1.3.00)
We are pleased to announce that a new firmware
update (version 1.3.00) is available for the i2M
musicport. It includes two new features requested by
i2M musicport users, and a few bug fixes.
-
Fix a bug when MIDI zone "note extend" was enabled. This could cause zero-duration notes to be sent by mistake.
-
Fixed a potential crash (unit would restart itself). This would only occur in rare situations, if at all.
-
Note-extend behaviour changed to work better with synths in mono-legato mode. Now, when the note-extend is active the new note is sent before the old note is turned off. This allows the receiving synth (when configured to mono-legato mode) to play the new note without a new note-on attack.
-
Note-detection accuracy in chromatic mode has been improved.
-
It is now possible to route pitch-bend data to another, globally-defined, MIDI controller. Only one MIDI controller can be configured, but routing can be enabled separately on each MIDI zone to different MIDI channels.
-
Fix a bug in the Desktop Editor which prevented you from selecting a single note range in the zone gate.
-
Added new musical scale to the Desktop Editor "Melodic Minor Full" which includes the notes of both the ascending and descending Melodic Minor scales.
-
Supports the new features in firmware version 1.3.00.
The i2M musicport Desktop Editor has also been updated to version 1.3.00:
All of the above can be downloaded from our software pages.

endorses Dan Hawkins
Sonuus are pround to announce the endorsement of Dan Hawkins, a busy, in-demand bass player from London. He is known as a tasteful musician who loves groove and feel and playing what is right for the song. His recent credits include Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Katie Melua, Les Miserables (West End) and Luke White.
Here's what Dan says about the i2M musicport:
"I use the i2M mainly to trigger synth bass sounds whilst playing bass lines. I love playing keyboard synth bass but I find that the i2M allows me to really express myself on my favourite bass whilst getting some awesome tones (usually Moog at the moment!). The tracking is great and it is a great tool for live and studio use. I mainly use it in the studio for some of the online sessions I do"
[19-22 January 2012] See

The Wahoo is very exciting for us, and we think it

releaing snippets about the Wahoo on our facebook page but have now
revealed all. It's a pure analogue, dual-filter
stomp box for guitar and bass -- a filter pedal, but
like no other!
We are keen to talk to new distributors covering regions for which we don't yet have distribution.

[30 April 2011] 64-bit ASIO
driver for i2M musicport
A 64-bit version of the i2M musicport ASIO driver
is now available from the software pages.
The 64-bit ASIO driver is only required if your application (DAW) is a 64-bit application. If you are using a 32-bit application on 64-bit Windows, you still need to use the 32-bit ASIO driver. It is therefore recommended that users of 64-bit Operating Systems install both the 32-bit and 64-bit ASIO drivers so it can support all applications.
[30 April 2011]
Firmware Updater 1.0.01
A minor update has been released for the Windows
version of the Sonuus Firmware Updater. It is now
available from the software pages.
There is a problem in Windows when a HID device (which is what the i2M musicport appears as in update mode) is connected for the first time: the device appears briefly then disappears. This cause the udpater problems because it detects the device and starts to update, then the device is "unplugged" by the OS. So the update fails. This new version works around this problem to ensure the firmware is updated correctly, even if the operating system "disconnects" the device part-way through the update.
We recommend you get this latest update if you are
using Windows (the OSX version has not been updated;
this problems was restricted to the Windows
platform).

[8 November 2010] Sonuus endorses Yorkie
Sonuus are proud to announce the endorsement of Yorkie, former member
of Liverpool Indie giants SPACE (Neighbourhood,
Female Of The Species, Avenging Angels), and now
working on the Mongoose project.
Yorkie started using the Sonuus B2M to allow his
studio projects to be taken to the stage without
over-reliance on keyboads.
"As a bassist, I
found the B2M gave me all of the control I needed
over my soft synths, without having to play a
keyboard. I now happily play a Moog, Cello, Synth
& even Melodica with my usual trusty old bass.
The G2M gives us
the ability to layer and warp already warped
guitars by adding synth/string textures to the
sound.
The latency is
non-existant and MOONGOOSE would highly recommend
both of these wonderful units."
[1 November 2010] Sonuus introduces the i2M musicport™
Sonuus are very excited to announce our latest product: the i2M musicport™.

USB audio interface, the i2M musicport™ redefines
how to connect musical instruments to computers.
Opening up MIDI to the masses, the i2M musicport™
makes MIDI more musical, more fun, with less hassle.
No instrument modifications or special pickups are
required, just plug in and play. It's also very
small!
The i2M musicport™ should be available in selected stores before the end of November 2010.

Sonuus are proud to announce the endorsement of Eric Maldonado,
a young, up-and-coming guitarist.With his G2M, Eric
is saving time creating tab for his students and
programming instrumental parts for his albums.
He says: "Wow! The G2M is probably the coolest piece of midi gear I own. What you are able to do with it is just unbelievable. Your creativity is infinite. It is like having a midi pickup without having to actually install one on your guitar. I use it to program instruments in my songs, play virtual instruments(VSTi) & tab out lessons. This little device does it all. These guys really know what they are doing!"
